LITANY AGAINST FEAR (and newz.)
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
Who can guess what book I just finished reading? Yup, Dune! It is a truly amazing book. You may wonder why I was reading instead of slaving away at Wizard 3 for you, but never fear (pun intended), there is a good reason. A family reunion. You see, it is much easier to read than it is to program in the car. Which is what I did. For about three hours. While listening to Echoes. Yay.
Anyway, work on Wizard 3 is looking quite nice. While it is going to be a bit longer than the previous two (2D) wizard games, I am hoping that the environments, frequent upgrades, and special powers will keep it a fresh and interesting experience. In case it is getting to be a bit too long, I may reduce it from nine major upgrades to eight... we will just have to see how things are going. I am quite happy with some of the spells I have made so far, and think that you will really enjoy the game.
Oh yeah... I'm going to be in Florida for three weeks (IN THE MIDDLE OF JULY! TALK ABOUT HEAT!) soon... I'm going to a Java programming summer camp at the University of Central Florida, so I might come back with some fun Java programs for everyone to try. Anyway, bye! Have a great summer!
